About the role
Work with residents to address communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs through individualized evaluation and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing function
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and resident goals
- Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia
- Monitor progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on supportive strategies
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Coordinate with nursing, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate Speech-Language Pathologists are welcome to apply
