Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance.
- Replace parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards, with assistance.
- Utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.
- Occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
- Provide training to slot technicians, floorpersons or trainees, as given.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Able to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of an AA degree in Electronics and one-year slot repair experience, or through a minimum of two years’ progressive slot repair experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
