SLOT TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

• Performs major and minor, scheduled and nonscheduled repairs on slot machines
• Maintains accurate records identifying repairs of department equipment in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Promotes positive public relations internally and externally
• Verifies and repairs all related gaming equipment
• Handles customer relations and minor customer disputes
• Ensures the safety and security of all guests and employees
• Performs any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description

Requirements

• Technical background in repair with knowledge of slots and related gaming equipment preferred
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
• 2 years’ experience in slot technical field preferred
• Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming licenses as determined by the Mississippi Gaming Commission for the position
• Knowledgeable of repair slot machine functions
• Ability to read simple instructions
• Ability to do some troubleshooting
• Ability to complete slot-related paperwork with a minimum of errors
• Knowledge of gaming laws and regulations
• Good communication skills
• Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment
• Ability to do assigned job duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressures
• Always maintain a pleasant, friendly and welcoming attitude
• Have complete knowledge of all events and promotional activities

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming licenses as determined by the Mississippi Gaming Commission for the position.
