Responsibilities
- Supervises staff performance related to department procedures, game security, customer service, and compliance with Maryland Lottery Commission regulations.
- Performs scheduling, evaluations, discipline, and training of slot technical personnel.
- Assists Slot Performance Manager in planning slot projects and provides suggestions and recommendations for process and procedure improvements.
- Trains slot repair personnel on all types of slots and gaming equipment, reviewing all documents to ensure accuracy.
- Schedules and oversees work assignments; assists with work assignments when needed.
- Produces technical machine operation evaluations to resolve customer disputes and ensure regulation compliance.
- Supervises the control of keys and locks to maintain the integrity and security of company assets.
- Responsible for control of parts distribution, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Works with other departments or outside contractors to ensure services are completed as requested.
- Reviews all paperwork completed by slot technician staff to ensure accuracy.
- Observes slot floor operation and evaluates slot technicians' performance.
- Provides legendary guest service to resolve guest complaints and disputes.
- Responsible for promoting all department and property guest service initiatives.
Requirements
- Associate degree (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school) or 3-5 years equivalent training/experience required.
- 4 to 6 years experience in Slot Performance or Operations.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Strong gaming, managerial, administrative, and financial acumen skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with employees at all levels.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to handle complex and emotional issues.
- Act as a role model to other employees and always lead by example.
- Adhere to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.
- Must project professionalism and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional appearance and ability to work as a team player.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time (8-12 hours).
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts and/or guest disputes.
- Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor via stairways, elevator, or escalator.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.; and have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, and kneel.
- Must respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary tools and office equipment.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
