Slot Mechanic 1 - Full TIme

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Basic computer knowledge to access/input information and read/respond to email in order to perform job functions and assist guests.
• Learn and understand slot operating systems (Kronos – including Konetic mobile dispatch, HotSOS, Everi, and XChange Explorer).
• Provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to guests.
• Listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.
• Repair slot machines and component parts as needed or as directed by management.
• Replace component parts as warranted to optimize guest impact.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as time allows or as instructed by management.
• Maintain the appearance and performance of slot machines and other devices as instructed to improve guest impact and reduce machine downtime.
• Observe higher‑level mechanics, as time allows, to learn new techniques in slot repair and improve job‑related skills and knowledge.
• Circulate the casino floor, watching for machines in need of repair or guests needing assistance.
• Check machine problem logs for any items in need of repair.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions from management.
• Use all required equipment to perform job duties, including soldering irons, power tools, electronics testing equipment, and various hand tools; must possess own hand tools.
• Ability to act independently while drawing conclusions from written and computer‑generated materials.
• Detail‑oriented and self‑starter with great organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of accuracy in tasks.
• Proactive and works well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Complex reading, writing, math, and task‑completion skills are required.
• Specific skills include coordination, analyzing, supervising, instructing, precision working, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making.
• Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as business needs dictate.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Education and Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience required in a slot maintenance or similar field, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certificates and Licenses

Must be able to maintain an appropriate Gaming License.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, and occasionally crawling and sitting during the shift. Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry over 100 lb (or less frequently). The role requires frequent repetitive use of both feet and hands, with frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands is frequently required. Constant use of vision abilities is required, including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision. Work Environment

Work is performed indoors, both alone and frequently with others. The team member will engage in face‑to‑face interactions, including verbal contact with others, on extended shifts around computer equipment, electrical devices, and other mechanical devices. Noise levels are usually quiet to moderate. The employee may be exposed to dirt/dust, odor, and/or secondhand smoke.
