Slot Floor Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle machine related customer issues promptly
• Install, move, test, repair and maintain slot and electronic/electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems
• Review, interpret and verify slot pay tables, settings and jackpots of pre-established amounts
• Troubleshoot and repair slots and associated player tracking system to minimize down time and maximize profitability of the gaming operation
• Independently and/or cooperatively perform advanced tasks including but not limited to RAM clears, setup and configuration of software, progressive system(s) hardware and software installation, configuration and troubleshooting
• Aid in the ongoing training and development of other team members
• Maintain security of company assets
• Perform assigned tasks in compliance with applicable regulations

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge and Certification Required: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience, 1 year of electronic troubleshooting or computer repair, 2 year technical degree or 2 years equivalent experience, 2 years mechanical and electromechanical systems experience
• Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented, Strong organizational skills, Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, Strong mechanical aptitude
• Preferred: Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and electrical/electronic test equipment, Proven soldering skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionally
• Must have manual dexterity necessary to manipulate electronic equipment
• Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
• Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Slot Technician shop, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
• High volume direct public contact
