Slot Attendant - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Safeguard casino assets and monitor slots activities for adherence to casino policies and procedures.
• Repair simple jams in machines on the floor.
• Hand pay customer credit balances when system communication is down.
• Assist customers with machine play explanations, complaints, and general assistance.
• Provide change and clean machines, including bases, cabinets, and toppers.
• Maintain neat and safe slot aisles by continuously pushing in slot chairs.
• Assist technicians in cleaning large signs on the gaming floor as scheduled.
• Support the beverage department by cleaning and stocking beverage stations in assigned areas.
• Assist custodians in keeping the area free of trash and emptying ashtrays between machines.
• Serve non-alcoholic beverages to guests in assigned areas when necessary.
• Stay updated on all current promotions.
• Recommend policy and procedure changes and departmental training needs to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned work areas.
• Demonstrate courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to guests and co-workers.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employees, management records, and casino concerns.
• Remain flexible to assume other responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Respond promptly and professionally to requests, complaints, and problems.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality in accordance with policies.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.

Requirements

• No formal education required.
• No prior experience required, but basic knowledge of gaming machines is desired.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work effectively with the public and communicate orally and in writing.
• Subject to bonding, security checks, comprehensive background checks, and drug testing.
• Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships.
• Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Some bending and stooping.
• Must be able to repetitiously lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Subject to inside environmental conditions, including working in a smoking environment.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts.
• Operations conducted seven days a week, including holidays.

Pay

$13.82 - $15.55 per hour, plus tips averaging $13.70 per hour.
