Slitter/Rewinder SF- 1st Shift

Description Summary & Responsibilities

Slitter/Rewind Operator is responsible for the set-up and operation of their designated machine. This includes ensuring accuracy and quality of product being produced. Operator is responsible for training new employees. Production Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, following safety procedures, reading and understanding job jackets/order, establishing and following quality checking procedures, communicating with supervisor, oncoming shift, and management, and performing cleanup and other procedures related to job completion.

• Understands and complies with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies and procedures.
• Communicates effectively by making computer entries, following the chain of command from supervisor to department manager to plant manager, etc.
• Responsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies and procedures.

Qualification Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience required.
• Quality conscious.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to see good true color (must not be colorblind).
• Physically able to lift 50-75 pounds, stand for long periods of time, bend, & climb.
• Basic reading, math, & computer skills.
• Able to read a tape measure.
