Slitter/Rewinder - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate designated slitter/rewinder machinery to ensure accurate and high-quality production.
• Follow safety procedures, including PPE use, ergonomics, and hazard awareness.
• Read and interpret job orders, establish quality checks, and document process steps accurately.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, adhering to the chain of command.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment, including the rewind area.
• Understand line clearance procedures and perform necessary cleanup after jobs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality policies, including GMPs.
• Train new employees and effectively troubleshoot machine issues.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous manufacturing or mechanical experience required.
• Attention to detail, quality consciousness, and ability to distinguish subtle color shades (must not be colorblind).
• Physical ability to lift 50–75 pounds, stand for long periods, bend, and climb.
• Basic reading, math, and computer skills, including reading tape measures.
• Strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Good reflexes, alertness, and safety awareness to operate machinery safely.
• Ability to react quickly to moving machinery and environmental hazards.
• Excellent sensory skills: good sense of smell, hearing, and vision.
• Ability to record electronic information accurately and adhere to safety emergency procedures.
