Slitter Operator Position

Role Responsibilities

• Set up and operate slitting machines according to job specifications
• Read and interpret work orders and production instructions
• Monitor machine operation to ensure proper tension, alignment, and cut accuracy
• Measure finished rolls to verify width, diameter, and quality standards
• Inspect materials for defects and ensure finished products meet quality requirements
• Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventative maintenance
• Complete required production documentation accurately and timely manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with leadership and warehouse teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• High school diploma
• Previous experience in manufacturing, converting, or slitting operations preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Ability to read measuring devices
• Strong attention to detail and quality focus
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 60 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement opportunities
