Slitter Operator
Description

At AFC you will be able to assist other workers in the fabrication process, you will get the experience of working in a manufacturing company, and be able to learn while on the job.
Responsibilities
- Mount roll of material on machine shafts, re-roll and inspect material while rewinding, and measure material to desired lengths.
- Start machine and observe flow of material through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
- Responsible for maintenance and some repairs of rewind machine.
- Operate slitter, placing correct dimensions and specifications into the computer.
- Fill orders for zone tape, sponge, and tubing.
- Clean and maintain work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Correctly completes all inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Requirements
- Two years of machine operator work experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- High school diploma or GED not required, but preferred.

Compensation: $17.40/hr
