Slitter Operator

About the role

Amcor is hiring Slitter Operators to set up, run, and support slitting machines in our Batavia manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on production role for candidates with machine operation experience or strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities

• Set up and run slitting machines to meet production standards
• Perform quality checks and document results
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Record production data and maintain clean work areas

Requirements

• Machine operator, manufacturing, production, packaging, printing, or web handling experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a fixed 4-3 schedule
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance, safety focus, and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Accurate measurement skills
• Basic metric conversion knowledge
• Forklift or hand jack experience
• Experience helping train or guide team members

Pay

$26.41/hour base pay, with a night shift premium of an additional $0.75/hour when working nights. Referral bonus: $1,000.

Schedule

12-hour shifts, 6 PM–6 AM, fixed 4‑3 rotation.
