Requirements

• 1-2 years of Slitter operator experience.
• Forklift experience required.
• Strong mathematical ability – Working with fractions and decimals.
• The ability to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
• Experience using micrometer and calipers.
• Solid computer skills, specifically Oracle.
• A detail-oriented nature.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe work environment.
• Using measuring tools (micrometer and calipers) to check metal gage and roll diameters.
• Using computer-controlled equipment to monitor / operate line.
• Working from drawings, work orders, specifications, instructions, and established methods and procedures.
• Using a variety of material handling equipment such as powered fork-lift trucks.
• Setting up separator blades to ensure proper “fan out” of metal and eliminate rolled edges.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications to plan setups.
• Making repairs and adjustments to the equipment, referring major repairs to the maintenance personnel.
• Detecting and reporting faulty operation, defective material and equipment, and all unusual conditions to proper supervisor.
• Maintaining workplace in a neat and orderly condition.
• Making out time and production reports.
• Experience entering production into system.
• Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by leadership.
