Slitter Operator

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all job safety analyses (JSA’s) and safety procedures and policies.
• Set up UTECO slitter to slit product to customer specifications.
• Load rolls of WIP (Work in Process) onto machine and thread machine.
• Inspect quality of rolls before production and continuously check quality of line as it is produced.
• Properly document quality inspections.
• Check to ensure all guards are in place and working properly according to procedures.
• Remove rolls in a timely manner, inspect, label, package, and stack on skid.
• Weigh and document all scrap.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Ability to work a 12-hour night shift.
• Work overtime as needed.
• Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
• Ability to read a ruler.
