Slitter Operator

What You Will Do

• Set up and operate slitting equipment, including hanging master rolls and adjusting tension and contact controls
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks on slit material
• Pull required samples, label materials, and enter quality data into systems
• Identify, splice out, and remove non-conforming material and place material on hold when required
• Complete production, quality, and shipping paperwork accurately
• Prepare slit rolls for shipment in accordance with customer and quality requirements
• Access and use email, intranet, and quality databases as part of daily work
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and plant policies and report unsafe conditions immediately
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in training activities
• Work overtime as needed to meet business demands
• Perform other duties as assigned

  What We Are Looking For

  • Mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred, training provided
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow standard work procedures and make sound decisions
  • Basic computer skills including email and data entry
  • Effective teamwork and willingness to learn, adapt, and support process improvements
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
