AWT has the following position open in our South Elgin location: Slitter Operator The schedule for this position is 1st Shift, Mon - Fri. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements. General Description of Job - Safe and efficient operation of slitting machine(s) Required Job Duties Operates slitter safelyconducts quality inspection of material and escalates issues to Quality Dept or Supervisor as they arisechecks and follows daily slitting scheduleensures all slitting requirements are understood before starting a jobensures that slitting request information is legible and accurateproper blades for materials are put on the slitter and adjustedmaterials are gathered as neededroll identification verified before slittingfinished product meets Slitting Notes requirementsrolls are clean and wound to proper tensionslit rolls are properly identified and palletized for transfer to the stretch wrapping area for preparing to move to inventory or to be staged for shippingwaste is accurately measured and recorded, if neededbasic PM is performed and documented as neededensures work area is clean, waste removed, floor swept; necessary tools and supplies are maintained in an orderly manner.
