Sleep Lab Technician PRN
Job Summary
As a Sleep Lab Tech, you would perform comprehensive sleep study and analysis, and associated interventions. You will orient and explain the procedure to each patient arriving at the sleep center. You will apply electrodes and sensors necessary to perform testing. Calibrate equipment and adjust for proper functioning during recording. You will perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals. Utilize your ability to recognize EEG, EKG and sleep abnormalities. You are responsible for CPAP/Bi PAP/ASV/AVAP titration and oxygen therapy when applicable. Understand and follow the criteria to perform a split night study.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program, or Certification in Sleep for RPSGT, CPSGT, or RST, or Nursing Program.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
