About the role

The Sleep Expert position at Mattress Firm is a unique retail opportunity designed to help customers find their dream mattress and improve their sleep quality. This role involves being a trusted sleep authority, executing selling programs with digital tools, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Elevate and enhance the customer’s in-store experience by being a trusted sleep authority and offering best-in-class products.
• Execute Mattress Firm selling programs using digital tools and support a seamless omnichannel experience.
• Create an environment where the customer is always at the center by cultivating strong relationships.
• Provide technical and product knowledge information to customers and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Drive individual sales performance and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while demonstrating company values and supporting company initiatives.
• Maintain customer relationships during and after purchase (resolve customer issues, send delivery reminders, etc.).
• Leverage social media to positively impact brand awareness and increase sales.
• Be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers.
• Knowledge of mattresses and sleep-related products.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Meet Mattress Firm’s physical requirements.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $68,000-$83,000, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the customer and the business.
