About the role

The Sleep Expert position at Mattress Firm is a unique retail opportunity designed to help customers find their dream mattress and achieve their financial goals. This role involves being a trusted sleep authority, executing selling programs with digital tools, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Elevate and enhance the customer’s in-store experience by being a trusted sleep authority and offering best-in-class products.
• Execute Mattress Firm selling programs using digital tools and support a seamless omnichannel experience.
• Create an environment where the customer is always at the center by cultivating strong relationships.
• Provide technical and product knowledge information to customers and serve as a subject matter expert.
• Drive individual sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) while demonstrating company values and supporting company initiatives.
• Maintain customer relationships during and after purchase (resolve customer issues, send delivery reminders, etc.).
• Leverage social media to positively impact brand awareness and increase sales.
• Be prepared to lift, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

• Bilingual proficiency, with Spanish being preferred.
• A strong understanding of sleep science and product knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant retail experience.
• Knowledge of Mattress Firm products and services.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.

Pay

Compensation for this role ranges from $64,000 to $78,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.

Schedule

The Sleep Expert role typically requires a flexible schedule to accommodate store operations and customer needs.
