Slaughter Quality Assurance Sortation Technician 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Sortation of pathology
• Assess product to ensure compliance with customer specifications
• Provide ongoing training to production employees regarding customer specifications
• Interact with QA Manager and Production Management for analysis projects
• Ensure National Beef provides a wholesome, food-safe product to customers
• Monitor food safety and employee safety throughout the facility
• Assist in other duties as assigned by QA Management
• Monitor plant personnel and facility daily to ensure compliance with FSIS and Food Safety Regulations and Programs
• Notify appropriate plant Management personnel of any deficiencies and take action as needed
• Perform daily system audits on products
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Knife experience preferred; must be willing and able to work with a knife
• Must be willing and able to work in a hot climate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer/tablet skills
• Beef industry experience preferred
• Product knowledge of beef
• Good time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Willingness to work scheduled hours and be on time
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship provided)
