About the role

Spectrum specialises in crew transfer and survey vessel operations, supporting a wide range of clients in the offshore renewables sector. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who can work as part of a team or independently when required.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake safe and efficient manoeuvring, navigation and operation of the vessel.
  • Provide a high standard of service throughout the entire process of transferring technicians and vessel survey operations.
  • Conduct and lead necessary onboard training.
  • Lead emergency preparedness onboard, including regular drills, emergency response planning, and ensuring compliance with maritime safety regulations.
  • Complete and report incident logs as required.
  • Conduct and document regular inspections and maintenance of the vessel in line with established procedures, including monitoring the high standards of housekeeping throughout the vessel.
  • Monitor weather conditions, conduct passage planning, and assess operational risks before each transfer to ensure safe and efficient voyages.
  • Adhere to instructions from the shoreside management team.
  • Support engineers with vessel maintenance tasks as required.
  • Complete onboard administrative tasks and maintain accurate record-keeping.
  • Foster a strong safety culture onboard and ensure familiarity for all crew and passengers with all safety equipment, protocols, instructions, and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (MARPOL) by managing waste disposal, monitoring fuel efficiency, and preventing pollution at sea.
  • Attend meetings when available.
  • Perform any additional ad hoc tasks as needed to effectively fulfil your role.

  • Yachtmaster 200t Commercially Endorsed
  • Short Range VHF
  • GMDSS ROC or GOC

  • Crane Operator
  • IMDG
  • AED Training
