Skilled Production

About the role

JELD-WEN is seeking a Skilled Production Associate to join their growing team at American Building Supply (ABS). This position assists the Distribution division in providing value-added goods and services to customers.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read work order picks and use measuring tools
• Operate conventional machines such as Table Saw’s, Mills, Surface Grinder, Drill Sharpener etc
• Work on the CNC/Komo Machine (Training Provided, experience preferred)
• Perform mathematical valuations, as well as read and understand technical drawings
• Start of shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Material preparation and material handling
• Work overtime as needed to satisfy customer demands
• Other general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

• Commercial machine operator experience
• Past experience in commercial woodworking (doors, millwork, cabinets, etc.)
• Past experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
• General knowledge of building materials
• Can perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
• Works well in a fast-paced, TEAM environment
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license

Pay

Expected pay for this role is between $25.27 to $27.64 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
