Skilled Maintenance Worker - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and inspections on all hospital mechanical systems, including HVAC, pneumatic controls, mixed air controllers, thermostats, heat and cooling control valves, and dampers.
• Utilize computerized building management systems, specifically Trane and Delta systems.
• Maintain and repair Trane, McQuay, Aaon, and KKT rooftop units and chillers.
• Change filters as needed.
• Handle plumbing tasks, including steam and condensate piping, traps, strainers, pumps (sewer ejector, sump, ground water, fuel oil, vacuum, recirculate, and condensate), hot water heaters, toilets, sinks, tub/shower drains, water softener systems, and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain the Copper Ion system, ice and water machines, and electrical systems, including MTU and Detroit generators, circuit breakers, fuses, fluorescent lighting, ballasts, cords, fixtures, exit lighting, and emergency lighting.
• Manage boiler room operations, including steam and hot water boilers, boiler water testing, and treatment.
• Perform other duties such as snowplowing, snow blowing, shoveling, and salting.
• Maintain patient electrical and mechanical beds, nurse call systems, washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, televisions, doors, windows, locks, alarm systems, door/wall tiling, painting, and wall repair.
• Conduct grounds maintenance, hospital emergency equipment checks, fire system inspections, fireproofing, commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, furnace repairs, clinic upkeep, roof and roof drain maintenance, and required inspections.
