About the role

Curries, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us on our 2nd and 3rd shift teams! We are currently recruiting for several Machine Operators for our facility based in Mason City, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the production process of our hollow metal doors and frames.
• Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the efficient and accurate manufacturing of our products, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment by following all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and ASSA ABLOY safety standards.
• Set up, operate, and monitor machinery such as presses, CNC equipment, or other production machines according to established procedures.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Perform routine adjustments and minor troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Inspect parts and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges to verify product dimensions.
• Maintain production records and document operational data as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic equipment care.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
• Collaborate with team members, maintenance personnel, and supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent / Technical certification or relevant experience is a plus.
• Previous machine operation experience.
• Ability to carry 5-30 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to read manufacturing or shop drawings.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure.
• Available to work overtime.
