Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Fabricates, modifies, or repairs mechanical instruments.
- Provides feedback on best practices for manufacturability
- Carry out maintenance on company owned machine shop
- Provide mentoring to junior/less trained staff
Requirements
- Knowledge of advanced machining practices and the ability to determine safest machining procedures.
- Knowledge of CNC programming and electronic equipment.
- Be able to use various types of tools and equipment.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of machining standards and exotic materials.
- Able to read and understand manufacturing drawings.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive an automobile.
- Able to work beyond normal workday or workweek.
- Able to travel.
