Job Responsibilities
As a caregiver, you will provide non-medical support and companionship to clients in their homes. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene
- Providing medication reminders
- Assisting with ambulation and mobility
- Preparing light meals according to dietary needs
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and pharmacy visits
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Monitoring client well-being and reporting changes to office staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
- Ability to follow individualized care plans
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving or in-home care experience preferred
Preferred Skills
- Experience with dementia care, mobility assistance, and transfers
- Familiarity with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, walkers, and transfer benches (training available)
- CPR certification preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills
Pay
Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
