About the role

Battelle is seeking skilled interns to join our SkillBridge program. This program provides active-duty service members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of military service.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with technical and business teams in areas such as reverse engineering, vulnerability research, network engineering, software engineering, data science, hardware engineering, program management, and more.
• Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and hands-on projects.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects within established timelines.
• Contribute to all phases of research projects: planning, execution, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
• Support internal research and development (IR&D) projects.
• Maintain laboratory safety and compliance (where applicable).
• Engage in professional development activities, networking, and career readiness workshops.

Key Qualifications

• Must be an active-duty service member eligible for SkillBridge (within last 180 days of service).
• Must have approval from chain of command to participate.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (science, engineering, technology, business operations) is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to meet DoD security clearance requirements (varies by role).
