About The SkillBridge Program
The Department of Defense SkillBridge Program provides transitioning service members with the opportunity to gain real-world civilian work experience during their final 180 days of active duty. At Ace Electric, we don’t just offer a program—we offer a launchpad into a long-term career. Participants are immersed in meaningful work across our field operations, corporate teams, and preconstruction environments, gaining hands-on experience aligned with their skills, interests, and career goals.

What You’ll Do
- Contribute to real-world projects in a fast-paced electrical construction environment
- Work alongside experienced leaders and skilled professionals
- Follow a structured training and mentorship plan
- Support daily operations in your assigned department (field or office)
- Participate in safety training, including OSHA 10
- Receive ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
- Travel to active job sites as needed

Qualifications
- Active-duty service member within 180 days of separation
- Command approval to participate in SkillBridge
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic environments
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and communication skills
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and (if applicable) motor vehicle review
- Eligible to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
Work Environment
Depending On Your Selected Career Path, Work May Include:
- Office-based professional environments
- Active construction job sites
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding tasks (field roles), including lifting, climbing, and extended standing
Compensation & Support
- Competitive hourly training wage (based on role and experience)
- Company-provided PPE and equipment
- Paid travel time (when applicable)
- Lodging and per diem for project assignments
- Structured onboarding and training experience
