About the role
Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is currently recruiting Active-Duty U.S. Military personnel for the SkillBridge Internship Program. The program is 4-6 months in duration and offers service members an opportunity to transition into challenging assignments in various fields.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to scientific discoveries and technical breakthroughs for solutions in energy and national security.
- Engage in assignments related to:
- Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, etc.)
- Facilities and Operations
- Environmental Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q)
- Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD)
- Technical Support
- Nuclear Safety
- Nuclear Operations
- Cyber Security
- Cyber Defense Information School (DINFOS)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- High performance Computing (HPC)
- IT and Linux Systems Engineering
- Finance
- Procurement
- and other Military Occupational Code (MOC) projects
- Participate in career development opportunities to enhance professional growth.
Requirements
Applicants must be active-duty U.S. military and have 180 days remaining in service by the start date of the internship.
