Key Responsibilities
- Operate skid steer equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Move raw materials, regrind, scrap, and finished products throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, hoppers, bins, and storage containers.
- Transport materials to production lines and staging areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of production areas, yards, and loading zones.
- Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections.
- Monitor fluid levels, tire condition, and general equipment condition.
- Report equipment damage, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately.
- Change attachments as required and operate various skid steer implements.
- Absorb and assist with grinding, shredding, material preparation, or general labor activities as needed.
- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout requirements, and PPE requirements.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to meet operational goals.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience operating industrial equipment or machinery is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, recycling, plastics, or heavy industrial environments is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
