About the role
The Ski & Ride Kids Program Supervisor is a key member of the supervisor leadership team in the Ski & Ride School, specifically responsible for overseeing the Kids Program for skiers and snowboarders aged 4-12.Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the Kids Program, fostering a fantastic experience for both guests and employees.
- Foster change and adjust aspects of the Kids Program to ensure it remains efficient and effective.
- Ensure the program grows and changes in line with Jay Peak's expansion.
- Lead by example, demonstrating passion, positivity, and support for staff.
- Manage a dynamic and diverse team, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- Support the overall success of the program and its participants.
Requirements
- At least three years of teaching skiing or snowboarding.
- Minimum PSIA or AASI level 2 certification.
- Minimum PSIA or AASI Level 2 Childrens Specific certification.
- Proven leadership in a Ski & Ride School program.
- Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
- Passionate with a positive attitude.
- Caring, humble, and supportive of staff.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful, fast-paced work environments.
- Committed to the success of the program and people involved.
- Supportive of Jay Peak’s mission, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Passion for working with children and youth.
- Experience in a supervisory role within a ski or snowboard program.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
