Program Overview
Peraton provides USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), deployed forces, CIO/J6, and end-users with high-quality IT platform and network services over an eight-year period. This position supports the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM at MacDill AFB in Florida. The purpose of the SITEC 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order is to provide USSOCOM and its components with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services, including Network Operations (NetOps), systems and network infrastructure maintenance, end-user and common device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, training, and Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.
Responsibilities
- Oversee change management activities, managing, monitoring, and updating the Enterprise-wide Change Management process for IT production environment changes.
- Manage hardware and software configuration changes, Configuration Control Board (CCB) change requests, Certificates of Noteworthiness (CoNs), and related activities.
- Implement change management processes and procedures, assess management needs, and develop plans to guide the IT organization toward a mature change process.
- Recommend and execute standardized methods and procedures for efficient handling of IT Service Requests to minimize negative impacts on service availability or quality.
- Ensure solutions and infrastructure changes are introduced in a controlled manner, interfacing with RM, CM, Asset Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, and NetOps processes.
- Provide daily monitoring and compliance of Request for Change (RFC) tickets/registry; review assigned RFCs for proper categorization, IMAC, and template assignment.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of requirements documented by requesters prior to approval or implementation.
- Document relationships of changes to other requirements, incidents, configuration items, or services.
- Identify requirements for new or unapproved hardware/software, ensuring assessment, testing, and certification before network attachment.
- Provide guidance to junior Change Management team members on ticket assignments and responsibilities.
- Support and facilitate Change Board meetings, including review of requested changes, notifications, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, update requirements with approvals/disapprovals, and reassign as needed.
- Oversee the schedule of planned/approved changes through the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) and communicate it to IT and mission personnel.
- Conduct change reviews, report results, impacts, and change effectiveness metrics, including successful, cancelled, or abandoned RFCs.
- Measure performance of the Change Management process using established KPIs and metrics; determine follow-up actions for failed changes.
- Work with Configuration Management to ensure changes affecting Configuration Items (CIs) are reflected in the CMDB.
- Analyze change-related incidents and provide reports as directed.
- Operate and navigate within the ServiceNow Application, understanding workflows for changes, incidents, problems, and service requests.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience with a high school diploma, 4 years with an AS/AA degree, or 2 years with a BS/BA degree.
- Active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate exceptionally well both orally and in writing, with a positive customer service attitude.
- Strong proactive team player.
- Extensive experience managing hardware and software configuration changes, CCB change requests, and Certificates of Noteworthiness (CoNs).
- Proficiency in operating and navigating the ServiceNow Application, including understanding workflows for changes, incidents, problems, and service catalogs.
Pay
Target salary range: $66,000 - $106,000. Salary is determined by scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business/contract considerations. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
