Responsibilities
- Oversee the Newborn Hearing Screen program at multiple sites within your region, serving as the on-site technical lead.
- Perform and document newborn hearing screenings in accordance with clinical protocols and hospital requirements, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ensure all eligible babies are screened and meet screening expectations set by the Hearing Screen Manager.
- Inform Hearing Screen Managers immediately of any hospital issues or missed babies.
- Act as the primary point of contact with parents and ensure scheduling of all follow-up outpatient appointments.
- Create schedules to ensure adequate coverage to meet hospital obligations and program requirements; escalate staffing gaps or concerns to the Hearing Screen Manager.
- Review timecards, approve time off requests, and participate in Hearing Screen Technician interviews and hiring as directed.
- Supervise Hearing Screen Technicians and conduct annual performance evaluations.
- Train all new hires, ensure continued training for current team members, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Complete company and hospital requirements, including orientation and compliance modules.
- Provide real-time technical guidance and support to screening staff; identify and escalate concerns or deviations in protocol.
- Ensure consistent onsite visits and meet with hospital leadership to present reports.
- Address team member and hospital concerns to ensure performance expectations are met.
- Maintain screener TB/CPR/training requirements and ensure credentialing at all supervised locations.
- Comply with all company and facility policies and procedures, including PPE, required vaccinations, and safety/security protocols.
- Supervise daily state reporting for all team members and complete state and hospital reporting per guidelines.
- Monitor and review Medical Sponsor reports for timely submission and adherence to policy.
- Review and reconcile birth stats monthly, resolving any questions or concerns prior to deadlines.
- Monitor Power BI reports for site and Hearing Screen Technician (HST) efficiencies and address as needed.
- Monitor equipment checklist weekly and ensure no parts are swapped without contacting NATUS.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Current CPR Certification or must obtain upon offer.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a manager or combination of training and experience.
- Prior experience with newborns and/or in a healthcare setting.
- 1-2 years managing multiple sites (preferred).
