About the Role
The Site Supervisor will safely coordinate activities within the assigned program, including company employees and other temporary employees. The role involves inspecting areas, equipment, and working conditions to ensure compliance with sanitation and OSHA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties of employees within the assigned program.
- Train, supervise, and instruct employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor work activities; recommend training and discipline.
- Prepare written reports, such as pass down, weekly, or monthly.
- Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
- Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
- Monitor supplies and maintain inventory.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety compliance.
- Report employee personnel and customer issues to the manager.
- Correct at-risk behavior immediately and report to the manager.
- Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas needing improvement.
- Maintain records, including training, inspections, attendance, and metric data.
- Familiarity with supervisory responsibilities.
- Some travel may be required.
Requirements
- Six months to 1-year related experience and/or training.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
- Forklift certification may be required.
Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish (a plus).
- Proficiency in database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service, training, and time management abilities.
- Problem-solving, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication with customers, contractors, or employees.
- Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks (a plus).
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work.
- Conduct performance evaluations; reward and discipline employees.
- Address complaints and resolve problems.
- Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Frequently required to sit, talk, or listen.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Work environment involves standard conditions for performing essential functions.
Pay
$55,000–$60,000 per year.
Schedule
Day shift, variable hours including weekends and on-call.
