About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor reports to the General Manager and is responsible for directing and coordinating the Maintenance Department to ensure the facility and all equipment are maintained in excellent repair. This role also oversees the safety program.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate the Maintenance Department to maintain the facility and equipment in excellent repair.
  • Identify problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Maintain spare parts and tool inventories to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure employees and outside contractors adhere to all safety procedures and requirements.
  • Perform preventative and demand maintenance as required.
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Supervise the work of others and/or the function.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Language, mathematical, and reasoning skills to compute complex measurements and interpret detailed instructions and electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience with two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Specific knowledge areas:
    • Purchasing
    • 480-volt 3 Phase power
    • Reading and interpreting ladder logic and electrical diagrams
    • Electric motor control troubleshooting
    • Repair and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
    • Operation of welding equipment and cutting torches
    • Safe use of hand and power tools

Training Required

Must complete all required training for a “Maintenance Manager / Supervisor / Technician” outlined in the training manual.
