Qualifications

  • Hold a Grade B Industrial Wastewater Treatment license (Colorado), or Grade A.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 6 years experience in industrial or municipal water/wastewater operations, with project management, technical, and financial responsibilities.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of industrial operations, fluid flow, process equipment, and control instrumentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and client software programs (including SCADA, data entry).
  • Strong virtual communication skills for remote operations management.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean record.
  • Ability to read and comply with industrial regulations, standards, and client safety/quality requirements.
  • Must live within one hour of Winter Park, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff at two Colorado locations for an industrial client.
  • Direct all onsite contract operations teams within assigned portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with water quality permit requirements and regulatory agencies.
  • Create and maintain a safe work culture; enforce safety practices.
  • Maintain operational and regulatory compliance at assigned sites.
  • Mentor, train, and support onsite managers, staff, and operators.
  • Ensure staff completion of all job duties and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Lead and implement O&M personnel development and training programs.
  • Oversee O&M Safety, Maintenance, Process Control, cost optimization, and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Select, assign, orient, and motivate onsite supervisors.
  • Support affirmative action and diversity efforts.
  • Manage job performance interviews and communication of management policies.
  • Develop technical skills to act as onsite manager during startups or emergencies.
  • Complete and verify all job-related documents and reports.
  • Maintain quality of operations and deliverables; achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Frequently travel to client sites for meetings, inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Support business development and contract operations efforts.
  • Serve as primary client liaison; maintain strong client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Review and report on project status, permit compliance, and management issues.
  • Assist regional personnel with local challenges and client relations strategies.
  • Develop budgets and assist in operations strategies for compliance and corporate objectives.
  • Review monthly project reports to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction.
  • Participate in professional groups and report on technology or service advancements.
