Site Supervisor

About the role

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of hourly Food Safety Sanitors and Lead Persons in designated departments and areas of our customer’s plants to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. This role primarily involves directing the work of sanitors, apportioning assignments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory, customer, and company policies. While occasional manual labor may be required during peak times (e.g., start-up and pre-op), the primary duty is supervision, not hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage sanitors in specific areas and departments at customer facilities.
• Apportion work assignments among sanitation lead persons and sanitors.
• Ensure sanitors work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with governmental, customer, and company policies.
• Evaluate sanitors for promotions or status changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures (Technical Services, HR, Accounting, IT, customer service) and handbooks (Team Member, Safety, Cleaning Procedures).
• Assist Site Manager and Assistant Site Manager in implementing training programs, including safety training and ERP.
• Report and investigate all accidents.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 6+ months of sanitation experience.
• Leadership and decision-making skills.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

Work Environment

This position involves working in wet, hot, or cold environments while wearing PPE. Shift schedules may vary by location.
