About this position: Site Superintendent in Guam
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, within budget and in accordance with approved design and specifications.
- Communicate and ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the subcontractors.
- Perform risk management and quality control to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Attend, facilitate, coordinate all required meetings and progress updates.
- Enforce vendor and subcontractor contracts within the context of the project.
- Provide onsite project oversight and leadership of quality control, safety and risk mitigation.
- Develop, review, and update construction schedule, subcontractor management, scheduling equipment and material deliveries, and support in project close-out documentation and coordination as needed.
- Maintain quality control, safety, and efficiency for construction operations.
- Interact with management to document and monitor changes in construction procedures.
- Review drawings to address construction issues and ensure a good plan in advance.
- Recommend vendors and subcontractors for various projects, discuss and support project management in obtaining appropriate quotations as needed.
- Interface with the owner, internal design/build teams, and subcontractors to provide feedback as needed.
Required (Minimum Necessary)
- Minimum 12 years of experience working in the construction industry, with a minimum of 6 years working on federal government construction projects.
- Experience with OSHA, EM 385-1-1 and other regulatory requirements and industry standard.
- Experience directing, training, and motivating field personnel.
- Ability to obtain GSA and military base passes and be able to operate motor vehicles on military installation.
- Understanding of federal construction requirements and ability to adhere and manage.
- CQM for Contractors Certification or ability to obtain.
- OSHA 30 or ability to obtain.
- First Aid / CPR or ability to obtain.
Preferred
- Extensive federal construction experience.
Necessary Physical Requirements
- Ability to spend long hours at a work station operating a computer or in the field supervising crews.
- Dexterity and good motor skills.

- Passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and navigate work areas under construction.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Perform the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds while performing the duties of this job.

- Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at times lift and carry as much at 50 pounds; near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels.

- DOT Covered/Safety-Sensitive Role Requirements
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.
Additional Qualifying Factors
- As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results.
- If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.
