Primary Purpose Of Position
Constellation New Energy is seeking a candidate to fill a position of Site Superintendent at our plant facilities. This individual will be the sole representative of Constellation onsite at our customer's manufacturing facility. The SS will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of 2 chillers and 26 rooftop air handling units, I&C controls, as well as handling preventative and corrective maintenance of equipment. Additionally, they will oversee contractors and subcontractors for repairs to equipment and maintain and execute maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and environmental compliance.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Act as sole Constellation representative onsite at customer's facility.
- Maintain customer relationships with all customers served by assigned plants.
- Operate assigned plants as a Stationary Engineer in compliance with published Company operating and safety policies/procedures.
- Assure the safe, efficient, and continuous commodity supply to meet system demands.
- Manage 3rd party service providers, contractors; water treatment service providers, maintenance / repair contractors.
- Monitor contractors onsite to ensure equipment reliability and environmental compliance requirements are met.
- Maintain & monitor safe working conditions; identifies, corrects, and reports unsafe work areas, enforces safety compliance.
- Monitor assigned plant operations through various controls systems/technologies.
- Ability to be on-call and respond to emergency situations, as necessary.
- Monitor for system disruption alarms during off hours and ability to remotely reset equipment, as required.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and minor repair on plant equipment and air handling units as assigned.
- Maintain complete maintenance records and reports. Write and follow-up on work orders for identification and repair of plant equipment and air handling units.
- Assure water quality using all prescribed water management procedures at assigned plant.
- Participate in and successfully complete all mandatory training to ensure compliance with published Company operating and safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Grade 3 Maryland Stationary Engineer license.
- High school diploma and 8+ years of experience in operating centrifugal chillers or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Experience.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude, including working with switching up to 480 volts.
- Knowledge of Johnson Controls Metasys software or similar controls software.
- Knowledge of Systecon software or similar PLC software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Operator experience in food production or pharmaceuticals facilities, to include chiller, rooftop air handling units & HVAC air handling units.
- Grade 1 Maryland Stationary Engineer license.
