Site Superintendent

About the role

The Site Superintendent is the on-site team leader responsible for supervising all on-site activities and ensuring the work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and with the highest quality. This position requires a proven track record of successfully delivering projects ranging up to $20M in value.

Responsibilities

• Keep project site clean and enforce safety protocols
• Schedule and supervise all labor and materials on the jobsite
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient work and high-quality standards
• Maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and clients
• Communicate frequently with the Project Manager and executives about project status
• Aid the Project Manager in keeping the project within budget and schedule
• Create, distribute, and update the project short interval schedule
• Resolve conflicts on the jobsite quickly and thoroughly
• Ensure all assigned tools are used properly and kept in good condition
• Understand and communicate project documentation to the team
• Promote a positive team environment
• Attend safety meetings to stay updated on company policies
• Act as the responsible competent person for all onsite safety concerns
• Maintain project as-built drawings
• Coordinate inspections, commissioning activities, punch list observations, and owner training
• Ensure there is always supervision on the jobsite while work is being performed

Qualifications

• Possess strong knowledge of foundation and structural systems, interior finishes, exterior wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems
• Show great organizational and management skills, and have strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to create a supportive team environment
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Bluebeam/PDF, spreadsheets, online plan rooms, and Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Experience as a Project Superintendent on large mechanical and/or electrical projects
• Experience as an Assistant Superintendent on large scale construction projects or as a lead carpenter/sheet metal foreman
