Job Summary

Job Title: Field Safety Supervisor
Department: Safety
Reports To: Safety Manager
FLSA: Exempt
Summary: The Field Safety Supervisor monitors safety and health regulations and provides technical support to plant and personnel to ensure compliance with federal and state safety and health regulations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Works closely with staff in project management, human resources, legal, operations, and research and development.
• Provides technical safety and health support and information to field personnel and corporate personnel.
• Enforces safety and health programs and policies.
• Identifies company safety training needs and develops and coordinates safety training programs.
• Supports corporate/Project Management to implement engineering controls to minimize safety and occupational health hazards.
• Serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Education And/Or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in safety science, engineering or equivalent or At least five years of previous experience in safety coordinator position or higher.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit.
• Frequently required to talk or hear.
• Occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Other Duties

Assist with tasks assigned to the Safety Division.
