Join Hanwha Qcells USA Corp and support the build of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. This is an evergreen posting for future project needs across our solar and BESS EPC portfolio. We are actively building a pipeline of qualified Site Safety Managers to support upcoming work.
Travel & Relocation
- 100% nationwide travel is required
- You will relocate to project sites for 8–12 months at a time
- This is a fully on-site, field-based role
- Candidates must be comfortable with a project-to-project travel lifestyle
Schedule
- Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time or other hours the site may establish
- Overtime and weekend work will be required as needed
Responsibilities
- Work with site EPC personnel to implement and manage a proactive behavior-based approach to Health & Safety, emphasizing personal responsibility, incident prevention, and a management systems approach to compliance
- Support the development of H&S policies, programs, and procedures to establish a culture of health and safety
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies and standards (including OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Continuously evaluate employees and contractors' practices and procedures to assess and reduce risks
- Lead accident or mishap investigations to identify causes and recommend improvement opportunities, preventive, and corrective measures
- Visit work areas to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment, materials, and adherence to work requirements
- Perform periodic safety and health risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of general construction experience
- 2 years managerial experience preferred
- 3 years of solar industry experience preferred
- Operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures
- OSHA 30/510 certification required
- Must have a valid current driver license
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States (we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time)
Physical Demands
- Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.)
- Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials (assistance recommended for items over 50 lbs)
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
