Site Safety Health Officer & Quality Control Manager
About the Role
TK Elevator is seeking an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer, Quality Control Manager in San Diego, CA. This role is responsible for administering and implementing safety practices and principles to eliminate injuries, improve safety performance, and ensure compliance and understanding of safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Implement and administer TKE Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan onsite while work is being performed.
- Manage, communicate, and enforce compliance with TKE Safety Program and government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
- Serve as a technical leader in workplace safety, supporting leadership and all employees.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company, federal/state, and local safety standards.
- Develop, administer, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies.
- Coordinate accident prevention initiatives.
- Shape a positive and proactive safety culture.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Follow up on job schedules, delays on published schedules, approved delays, executed contract delays, and change order approval delays.
- Participate in on-site coordination and construction meetings.
- Act as the point of contact for coordination.
- Ensure coordination and construction meetings are held weekly and that personnel are prepared.
- Maintain awareness of project progress through communication with all parties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree within an EHS discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience working as a safety professional, preferred within the elevator industry, general contractor, or equivalent role for a major subcontractor. Alternatively, 3+ years of experience with CSP or a Bachelor’s degree within an EHS discipline.
- 3+ years preparing and enforcing Quality Management System programs.
- Experience preparing and enforcing safety programs.
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent, preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products effectively.

Pay
Salary range is $90,000 to $125,000. The role offers a car allowance or company vehicle and fuel card.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 6-month position.
