Quality Control Manager / Site Safety and Health Officer

What You’ll Do

• QC Responsibilities
• Administers the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Acts on behalf of the Contractor to remove, rework, or replace defective materials or poor-quality workmanship
• Performs inspections and identifies corrective and preventive actions
• Documents quality plans, policies, procedures, and summaries, including subcontract activities
• Plans and conducts internal audits
• Verifies contractor furnished PM records, cards, tags, or logbooks
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive quality and company proprietary information
• Maintains the Subcontractor Performance Evaluation program coordination and documentation
• SSHOResponsibilities
• Develops, implements, and maintains the Site-Specific Safety Plan and other EHS policies
• Oversight of emergency response plan
• Writes and reviews all Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA)
• Conducts and documents safety orientations and weekly staff safety meetings
• Conducts mishap investigations and near miss cases
• Corrects any safety deficiencies or unsafe acts
• Ensures all departments follow federal, state, OSHA, and USACE 385-1-1 regulations through safety training
• Performs daily safety and equipment inspections, including PPE for specific work activities
• Inspects task-specific, service orders, and obtains Post & Keep Burn Permits
• Presents weekly safety toolbox talks and briefings, ensuring HAZMAT standards are met and implementing Hazard Communication Program

Qualification / Certifications Required for QCM/SSHO

• 5 or more years of continuous safety experience in an oversight or management role
• USACE Construction Quality Certificate
• Completed 30 Hours OSHA General Industry or Construction Course with current certificate
• Current CPR FA AED certificate by the AHA or Red Cross
• Professional Safety Course (Desired)
• EM385-1-1 training (Desired)
• Valid Driver License and insurable driving record required

Pay Range

$90,000 - $105,000 per hour
