Site Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Enforce the use of safety equipment/clothing as required by OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Reinforce compliance with the safety requirements of the company among team members and subcontractors on the project site.
• Maintain appropriate safety records.
• Maintain work areas in a neat, safe, and orderly fashion.
• Investigate incidents and complete reports as required.
• Aid the Site Manager in administering counseling to team members and subcontractors who are non-compliant with safety requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Conduct orientation and jobsite-specific training.
• Communicate, implement, and enforce Gray’s safety program on-site.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 5+ years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• OSHA 30 Hour card.
• Experience in an industrial construction environment is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite programs.
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• An energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for collaboration and professional development.

Requirements

• The position requires travel as projects are scattered throughout the United States and, in some cases, outside the U.S.
• The selected candidate can live anywhere in the USA, but would be required to travel to the project site per Gray’s travel policy.
