Site Safety and Health Specialist
About the role
The Site Safety and Health Specialist supports the SLDA Project site in Parks Township, PA. They monitor and oversee site HSE requirements, coordinate training, collect exposure monitoring data, and interface with the project team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain site HSE documentation and training records
- Support incident investigations
- Coordinate routine and refresher training for new and existing personnel
- Collect worker exposure monitoring data using various techniques
- Interface with the SLDA Project Team to ensure alignment on HSE initiatives
- Develop and maintain a positive safety culture
- Facilitate engagement to foster a strong HSE culture
Requirements
- 3-5 years of applied HSE experience in construction, environmental remediation, operations and maintenance, hazardous waste management
- Physically able to wear respiratory protection and chemical protective clothing
- USA citizenship required, able to pass security screening for a secret clearance
- Able to obtain interim clearance within 90 days of start date
- Able to influence and guide those over whom you do not have direct control
- Demonstrates a passion and commitment to the HSE profession
- Highly competent with Microsoft Office Suite & other related software applications
- Stable job history in current organization for at least one year or more
- Excellent communicator, both written, verbal, and in presentations
Qualifications
- Experience supporting incident investigation
- Valid driver's license
Skills
Must demonstrate a stable job history and be able to influence and guide others. Excellent communication skills are required, both written, verbal, and in presentations. Competent with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software applications.

Pay
$65,000 - $90,000
Schedule
Regular use of chemical protective clothing including respiratory protection. Occasional need to work near construction job site equipment, hazardous equipment and machinery, and uneven ground. Exposure to dust, gas or fumes, noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
