Site Safety and Health Officer

CCI Facility Contractors, LLC is expanding its workforce and is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to join our team. Responsibilities
- Implement, manage, and enforce all safety and occupational health requirements for federal construction projects, with a strong emphasis on electrical infrastructure and substation construction.
- Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA regulations, and project-specific Accident Prevention Plans while supporting safe execution of high-risk activities involving substations, energized systems, and complex construction operations.
- Conduct site safety inspections, meetings, training, and hazard analyses.
- Review and approve safety submittals and Activity Hazard Analyses.
- Monitor and manage sub-contractor safety and health compliance.
- Maintain required safety documentation.
- Lead incident investigations and complete required reports.
- Manage safety reporting in RMS and Procore, all while promoting a proactive, safety-first culture throughout all phases of construction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of federal construction experience with NAVFAC, USACE, or Coast Guard.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive construction industry experience in supervising/managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls).
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearances as required by the task order.
- 24 hours of documented safety-related training every 3 years plus OSHA 30 hour.
- Proficient with EM385 1-1.
- Proficient with Procore and RMS.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF.

Pay
This position is offered on a competitive salary basis, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The position will report to our office location in Huntsville, AL at Redstone Arsenal. The schedule is typically full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
