Site Safety and Health Officer
About the role
SES Constructors LLC (SCL) is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for managing daily safety activities on Federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will conduct safety meetings, inspections, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Implement the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Conduct site safety orientation for project personnel
- Review safety requirements and expectations with project personnel
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections
- Maintain safety data sheets and logs
- Participate in incident response, communication, investigation, and documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Federal construction, fuels or service work projects
- 24 hours of documented safety training within the last 3 years
- OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety Training
- Familiarity with USACE EM-385-1-1 requirements and experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC Civil construction projects
- Knowledge of construction (read plans and specifications, field methods/equipment)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
Qualifications
- US Citizenship for security clearance
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Clearance levels required for military installations (if applicable)

Pay
$80,000 - $100,000 DOE
Schedule
Travel 80-95% of the time
Skills
Strong safety management skills, OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety Training, familiarity with USACE EM-385-1-1 requirements, and experience with USACE and/or NAVFAC Civil construction projects.
