Site Reliability Specialist
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and the maintenance of the cloud infrastructure platform alongside your team.
- Communicate with different teams to identify system dependencies.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, network appliances, and cloud PaaS services.
- Implement and optimize monitoring and observability solutions to detect performance, security, and availability issues.
- Apply industry best practices for system reliability, security, automation, and documentation.
- Suggest and implement optimizations to improve system performance and reduce operational overhead.
- Create extensible, automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines to test and release application code and IaC.
- Build CI/CD Pipelines as Code.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues across distributed systems and applications.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, internal processes, and operational playbooks.
- Adhere to change management and business processes when implementing updates.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and work outside standard business hours as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of SysOps, SRE, or DevOps experience.
- Strong knowledge in Linux and Windows system orchestration.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced experience with at least two scripting or programming languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python (Django), JavaScript (Vue), Java, .Net etc.).
- Experience with Infrastructure as code, deployments done using descriptive languages such as Ansible & Terraform.
- Knowledge and experience with docker and containers orchestration such as Kubernetes.
- Strong pipeline experience (Github, Azure DevOps etc.).
- Knowledge of deploying applications written in Python, Java and .Net.
- Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices to protect data from intrusion, loss, and corruption.
- Experience with database (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Redis, Mongo).
Qualifications
This position requires a working knowledge of English, as the employee will be called upon, as part of his/her duties, to interact on a regular and daily basis with stakeholders located outside Quebec on specialized, complex and cutting-edge subjects.

Pay
$60,000 - $70,000 CAD annually - Compensations information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills as well as the years of experience you have. Similar positions located in different geographic regions will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
Schedule
This is a hybrid position and may require the employee to come to our office in Sorel-Tracy near Montreal for a couple of days per month.
