About the role

The Production Engineering Team at Fluidstack is responsible for owning and operating one of the largest GPU fleets in the world. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining the metrics pipelines, alerting systems, and unified health views for the entire compute fleet. The team also builds and owns the automation for compute failures, including triage, parts management, and return to service processes. Additionally, they design and expand the GPU qualification platform, manage Redfish and BMC tooling, and ensure end-to-end reliability, scalability, and operation of the compute fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the automation for compute failures, including triage, parts management, and return to service processes.
  • Design and expand the GPU qualification platform, including burn-in, performance baselining, and NPI execution for every new GPU generation.
  • Own Redfish and BMC tooling, including firmware-level telemetry, log collection at fleet scale, and low-level access layer for repair automation and health tooling.
  • Own end-to-end reliability, scalability, and operation of the compute fleet at scale.

Requirements

  • Treat toil as a bug, moving towards ambiguity rather than away from it.
  • Leverage an instinct for hardware, comfortable reasoning about failure modes at the firmware and silicon level.
  • Learn at a steep slope, reaching real competence in unfamiliar domains quickly.
  • Carry a pager without flinching, running incidents, writing postmortems, and fixing systemic causes.
  • Be fluent with AI tooling, such as LLM APIs, MCP servers, and agentic frameworks, and drive Claude Code, Cursor, or similar daily.
  • Ship production automation that other teams depend on, comfortable in any language using AI coding tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with production automation and AI tooling.
  • Experience with GPU qualification and burn-in frameworks.
  • Experience with BMC/Redfish or IPMI tooling.
  • Experience with workflow and orchestration engines (Temporal, Cadence).
  • Experience with metrics and alerting pipelines (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Experience with Go or Python.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and bare metal orchestration.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
